SAEC Campus Committee Involvement
To guarantee that staff have a voice on campus, SAEC members have the option to participate in multiple committees across campus. Click on each tab to learn more about the committee and its role. Members of the Staff Assembly Executive Committee support these committees on a volunteer capacity only, in some cases appointed and in some cases voluntarily.
We collaborate with this Task Force.
The Alegría Mental Health Task Force supports students, faculty and staff by maintaining a directory of activities and events that promote the mental health and wellness of our campus community and developing resources and opportunities to expand and supplement current offerings. Why Alegría? The word in Spanish translates into English as “joy;” however, it goes further than that. In music, from the Italian, allegro is a tempo that is cheerful and lively: with gusto. Together, we can forge a renewed sense of community and a resolve to create joy together.
This is an administrative committee, whose primary function is to assist the University president in the coordination, development and maintenance of short- and long-range plans for the campus.
